The Process
O3 (Out of Office) is a productivity-focused leave planner built for working professionals who want to use their annual leaves strategically. Instead of manually checking calendars and counting holidays, O3 automatically detects long weekends, bridge days, and smart leave opportunities.
The solution was to build a smart planner that centralizes everything into one experience. Users can choose their country or region, import company holidays, define leave balance, and instantly view the best leave opportunities throughout the year.
A strong emphasis was placed on privacy and usability. All user data is stored locally on-device, meaning no personal leave data is uploaded or shared. This creates trust while improving performance and offline accessibility.
The product was designed for cross-platform usage using Expo, allowing deployment to Android, iOS, and web from a shared codebase. Notifications and reminders were added to help users act on opportunities before schedules fill up.
